I love nature...

Photography eyh? Well yes indeed!

I found out some while ago that I have a little of a photographer in me. Every once in a while I find my self inspired by nature and find myself enchanted by it's small but yet so beautiful stuff.
Makes me feel like a little kid again when I sink in to the small details that mother nature creates.

The photo of the frog staring at it's tiny tiny pray was taken approximately 2 inches away from this long tongued "wild" beast. I was at a festival called Pipefest in august 2010. While running in and out from the sauna that we had at our cabin we spotted a frog hopping around in front of our porch. And so happened that a friend of mine had his camera with him and I asked if I could take a few shots. And this one frame came out as a success.

I love nature after the rain. There's just something so beautiful when everything sparcles freshness and you get a feeling that we should all take more time to enjoy nature as it is.

This second photo was taken with my iPhone on my daily walk with my dog.

Photography is one of my new but still very beginner level hobbies.. Gonna put more photos up when I get some nice ones.

Best chicken meal ever by far!

So I went to Amsterdam, Holland with my crew Flow Mo to do a judging job plus a shocase at the finals in an event called Spin Off. After that we went to Rottardam to do our theatre piece "Response" for Hip Hop House at Zoidplein theatre. The trip was all and all a success cause we had so much fun with my crew and we got to meet some of our friends around the world along with some new acquaintances.

How ever in Rotterdam my life was yet blessed with one more surprise..

We went to eat at a local Surinami place called "Warung Mini" and my friends told me to taste the the satay chicken as it would be the best they have ever eaten. Since everyone in our crew are big fans of good food I had to try it out........

Words can not explain the experience.

If you're ever in Rotterdam I suggest that you try to find this place. The address? I have no idea...but you can bet your sweet ass I'm gonna try to find it next time I'm in town! :D

Money laundering? - Why yes!

There comes a time in every ones life when its time to do some money laundering... Especially if you found it off the streets of Naantali. :D

Don't get me wrong.. Dirty money work just as good for me but this one was plain filthy... and with Euros it's great cause you can wash them even with soap or if you have bigger ammounts, you can even wash then in your washing machine and they come out just fine...wrinkled but fine.

Flow Mo & Adidas Star Wars - edition.

Flow Mo participated in the launch of the new Adidas Star Wars edition @ Popot Helsinki on March 5th.

We did a walking parade in Helsinki with some of the Imperial army members such as Darth Vader, two Stormtroopers, a snowtroopers, a Tie Pilot and Obi Wan Kenobi.

I've been a huge Star Wars fan since I was a small boy, so it was a dream come true to me to hang around with these characters for the evening.

"Bboy Focus of Flow Mo" Back piece.

"Bboy Focus of Flow Mo" Back piece.

Custom jacket back piece for my crew member Focus.

Focus had a jacket that he wanted me to customize for him. He had a rough vision how he wanted it to look + a photo of the freeze that he wanted in it.

So I took the photo but changed the jeans and collar shirt into a classic red tracksuit with shiny white fat laced superstars. Of course topping the outfit with a pair of square framed bboy "cazal" styled glasses and a "Kangol" on his head.

I decided to do the backpiece with these colors, cause Focus has a pair of Evisu jeans to match the colors perfectly.

I think it came out real nice.

Tosca pie...mmm....

I did some great Tosca pie the other day. That + coffee made me a very happy man. :)

I'm not so accurate with all the measures and if something goes a bit wrong or not in the right order that it "should" go...well... I don't mind so much.. :D

All that matters is that you have fun while doing it and in the end you have something delicious to eat.

This one made my day and hopefully it will make yours too.

-Mikko

Here's the recipe:

Base:

4 Eggs

3 dl sugar

100 g of melted butter

2 dl cream

3 teaspoons of Baking powder

1,5 teaspoons of vanilla sugar

4 dl wheat flour

Frosting:

225 g butter

2,5 dl sugar

3/4 dl wheat flour

400g almond (sliced!)

3 tablespoons of milk

Melt the butter and add in the cream. Mix the flour, backing powder and vanilla sugar together. Whip the eggs and sugar in to a nice fluffy foam. Add the flour/sugar/backing powder mix in to the foam followed with the butter/cream mix as well. Stir all of it into an even paste and pour it on a oven plate. Cook it in your oven in 200 degrees celcius for about 12 minutes. During that time prepare the frosting: Melt the butter in a pot and add all the other ingredients to the mix. Let it just start to boil before you take it off the stove. Take the pie out from the oven and spread the frosting over tha base. Cook the pie still for about 10 more minutes, until the frosting gets a nice golden color.

Enjoy!
